IYC In Disgrace! Doubra Accused Of Betraying Izon Nation As Malapha Destiny Alleges ₦2 Billion Tompolo-Bankrolled Presidency, Blasts Iyc Leadership As “Errand Boys”!

...Niger Delta Activist Accuses IYC President Of Turning Youth Council Into A Political Tool For Tompolo, Alleges Silence Over Kidnapping, Torture And Alleged Private Detention Of Ijaw Citizens!

The leadership of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC), under President Doubra-led administration, has come under blistering criticism following a devastating statement by Malapha Destiny, Spokesperson for the Oppressed Citizens of Niger Delta, who has described the current IYC leadership as a disgrace to the Izon Nation, accusing its leadership of abandoning the collective interests of Ijaw youths in favour of personal interests, political patronage, and alleged servitude to Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo.

In a fiercely worded statement made available to High Service News (HSN), issued on November 6, 2026, Destiny accused the Doubra-led IYC of transforming what was established as a formidable platform for the protection, emancipation, and advancement of Ijaw people into what he described as a gathering of bootlickers, scavengers, and image makers for Tompolo and members of the Oporoza House.

The Niger Delta spokesperson did not mince words, questioning whether the current IYC leadership still possesses the moral courage, independence, and revolutionary consciousness required to defend the interests of the Ijaw Nation.

According to Destiny, the current leadership has allegedly abandoned the noble objectives upon which the IYC was founded on December 11, 1998, arguing that hunger for contracts, wealth, political appointments, and material benefits has allegedly blinded its leadership to the suffering of ordinary Ijaw youths.

Invoking the philosophical wisdom of Aristotle, Destiny declared that power in the wrong hands could become a dangerous instrument of oppression, insisting that the Ijaw Nation must not surrender its collective destiny to individuals whose personal interests allegedly supersede the interests of the people.

“DOUBRA IS PRESIDENT FOR TOMPOLO'S MATTERS, NOT THE IJAW NATION!”

Destiny launched a direct attack on IYC President Doubra over a purported press release in which the council's leadership allegedly threatened to deal with Ijaw youths criticising Tompolo.

The spokesperson described the alleged threat as deeply insulting, provocative, and unacceptable, warning that the Ijaw Nation is not the personal property of Tompolo or any political, economic, or traditional power broker.

He accused Doubra of behaving like an errand boy whose loyalty is allegedly directed toward Tompolo rather than the millions of Ijaw people whose interests the IYC is constitutionally and historically expected to defend.

Destiny further alleged that Tompolo bankrolled Doubra's emergence as IYC President with ₦2 billion, claiming that the alleged financial arrangement explains the council president's purported unwillingness to confront his benefactor.

The spokesperson challenged Ijaw youths to question whether the current IYC leadership is genuinely independent or has allegedly become an instrument for protecting the interests of powerful individuals.

IYC'S HISTORIC MANDATE ALLEGEDLY ABANDONED!

The statement questioned the fundamental purpose of the Ijaw Youth Council, recalling that the organisation was established to defend the rights, interests, dignity, and collective aspirations of the Ijaw people.

Destiny asked whether the IYC is still following the path of its founding fathers or whether the organisation has allegedly become a political and economic vehicle for individuals seeking personal enrichment.

He accused the current leadership of maintaining what he described as an embarrassing silence over alleged atrocities against Ijaw citizens across the Niger Delta.

According to him, the council has allegedly failed to adequately confront powerful figures accused of intimidating, kidnapping, torturing, or unlawfully detaining Ijaw youths.

Destiny specifically mentioned Tompolo, Kestin, KFT, Kari, Tare, Maciver, and Super in his allegations, accusing them of being connected to activities allegedly directed against Ijaw people.

The allegations remain serious and require independent investigation.

APOSTLE DANIEL EZEKIEL'S SACRIFICES AND THE ALLEGED BETRAYAL!

Destiny also brought Apostle Daniel Ezekiel into the controversy, alleging that Ezekiel stood firmly beside Tompolo during the latter's period of wanted status under former President Muhammadu Buhari.

According to the spokesperson, Ezekiel allegedly endured multiple arrests, including a prolonged detention by the Department of State Services (DSS), because of his advocacy and support.

Destiny further alleged that when Dennis Otuaro assumed office as Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), concerns were raised about the adequacy of the programme's funding, prompting appeals for advocacy intervention.

The spokesperson claimed that Ezekiel subsequently used his influence to campaign for an increase in the programme's funding allocation from ₦65 billion to ₦115 billion.

However, Destiny alleged that rather than benefiting the ex-agitators and delegates whose welfare the programme was established to support, the increased funding has allegedly failed to translate into meaningful improvements for ordinary beneficiaries.

He further alleged that Ezekiel's sacrifices were repaid with detention at Kuje Prison.

The spokesperson also accused Tompolo and individuals allegedly associated with the Oporoza House of diverting attention and resources toward expensive festivals, personal lifestyles, and other activities while Ijaw youths continue to suffer.

These claims, including the alleged circumstances surrounding Ezekiel's detention and the use of PAP funds, require verification from relevant authorities and the persons named.

EXPLOSIVE ALLEGATIONS OF KIDNAPPING, TORTURE AND PRIVATE DETENTION!

Perhaps the most disturbing aspect of Destiny's statement concerns allegations of kidnapping, torture, unlawful detention, and the killing of Ijaw citizens.

The Niger Delta spokesperson alleged that for approximately two years, Ijaw youths have repeatedly raised concerns over the activities of individuals he named as Kestin, KFT, Maciver, Kari, Tare, and Super.

According to Destiny, some Ijaw citizens were allegedly kidnapped, transported to Oporoza in Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State, and subjected to beatings, torture, and detention in alleged private facilities.

He further alleged that one individual identified as MK was killed and accused Tompolo of involvement in ritual activities.

These are grave allegations of criminal conduct. They have not been independently established in this report, and the individuals named are entitled to respond.

Destiny also claimed that Karowei Balamene and Charles Kurobo have allegedly been held in a private detention facility associated with Tompolo since 2024.

The spokesperson accused Doubra of failing to visit the alleged victims' families, engage Ijaw elders, or demonstrate meaningful intervention toward resolving the reported crisis.

He argued that the IYC leadership's alleged silence has become a source of anger and frustration among sections of the Ijaw youth population.

“A TOOTHLESS BULLDOG WHO SOLD HIS BIRTHRIGHT!”

In one of the most brutal passages of the statement, Destiny described Doubra as a “toothless bulldog,” accusing him of lacking the moral authority to threaten Ijaw youths who are demanding accountability.

The spokesperson further likened the IYC president to Esau in the biblical account, accusing him of allegedly trading his birthright for personal benefits.

Destiny maintained that the Ijaw Nation cannot be reduced to a political playground where powerful individuals allegedly dictate what young people are permitted to say, question, or demand.

He warned that the IYC's credibility is at stake if its leadership continues to allegedly prioritise the interests of powerful personalities over the welfare of the people.

IJAW YOUTHS MUST QUESTION THEIR LEADERSHIP!

Destiny's statement represents a fierce challenge to the current IYC leadership, raising fundamental questions about the organisation's independence, accountability, and commitment to its founding principles.

The spokesperson insisted that criticism of Tompolo, Dennis Otuaro, and members of the Oporoza House must not be treated as an attack on the entire Ijaw Nation.

He argued that no individual, regardless of political influence, financial resources, traditional authority, or security connections, should be placed above public scrutiny.

Destiny declared that the campaign to expose alleged wrongdoing would continue, insisting that the voices of ordinary Ijaw citizens must not be silenced by threats, intimidation, or political pressure.

He further maintained that the IYC must return to its original mandate of defending Ijaw people rather than allegedly serving as an instrument for protecting powerful interests.

THE BIG QUESTIONS!

As the controversy intensifies, several questions demand answers:

- Is the Doubra-led IYC genuinely independent in its leadership and decision-making?

- What is the council's response to the allegation that its president received ₦2 billion in financial support from Tompolo?

- What action has the IYC taken concerning the alleged kidnapping, torture, and private detention of Ijaw citizens?

- What is the status of Karowei Balamene and Charles Kurobo, who Destiny alleges have been detained since 2024?

- What are the circumstances surrounding the alleged killing of MK?

- What has the IYC done to protect the welfare and dignity of ordinary Ijaw youths?

- What is the Presidential Amnesty Programme's response to allegations concerning its funding and beneficiaries?

- Will the IYC leadership publicly address these allegations or continue to remain silent?

The Ijaw Nation deserves answers.

The IYC was established to defend the people, not to intimidate them. Its leadership must understand that criticism is not treason, accountability is not disrespect, and the collective destiny of the Izon Nation cannot be surrendered to any individual.

Until these allegations are independently investigated and addressed, the controversy surrounding the Doubra-led IYC, Tompolo, and the alleged suffering of Ijaw citizens is likely to remain a major source of public concern.
